New excise duty rates on liquor in Goa

The goa government is increasing excise duty on all categories of alcoholic beverages like beer, wine and Indian made foreign liquor from April 1, 2018
Excise duties are as follows (from media sources)
For cheapest Indian made foreign liquor whose price does not exceed Rs 100 per 750 ml bottle, Rs 25 per liter
For liquor costing more than Rs 1000, Rs 325 per liter
Liquor costing Rs 10500, Rs 2000 per liter

For beer imported from other states of india or manufactured locally excise duty is fixed at Rs 22 per liter . Beer is the most popular alcoholic beverage in goa
